Day 1:
Arrive in Bangkok - Depending on your arrival time, you will be met and transferred to the Indra Regent Hotel or similar (3 nights).

Day 2:
Bangkok (B) - Enjoy a tour of the Royal Grand Palace.

Day 3:
Bangkok (B) - Tour by long boat through Bangkok’s canals witnessing everyday lifestyle of the people. Then float on a converted rice barge through the surrounding farmlands.

Day 4:
Bangkok to Malaysia (B) - This afternoon you transfer to the train station and board the ‘International Express’ train featuring very comfortable 2nd class sleepers and restaurant car. The train travels south through rural farming and seaside villages.

Day 5:
Arrive in Penang - Arriving at Butterworth rail station you will transfer to Penang, and the Bayview Hotel or similar (2 nights).

Day 6:
Penang (B) - a day at leisure.

Day 7:
Penang to Kuala Lumpur (B) - Today you travel by modern express train (1st class reserved seats) past fascinating towns, villages and countryside into Kuala Lumpur. Upon arrival at KL Sentral you transfer to the Federal Hotel or similar (2 nights).

Day 8:
Kuala Lumpur (B) - Today you join a fascinating tour of the city.

Day 9:
Kuala Lumpur to Malacca (B) - Today you tour by car to nearby Malacca; colonised by the Dutch, Portuguese and British, all of whom have left their landmarks. Upon arrival, enjoy a tour of this interesting city. Stay at the Renaissance Hotel or similar (1 night).

Day 10:
Malacca to Singapore (B) - Today you transfer to Tampin Rail Station for your 1st class express train to Singapore.
