Map & Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Montréal Canada's second-largest city.  It is a unique blend of French and English history, language and culture.  Located in southwestern Québec, Montréal is actually on an island in the St Lawrence River.  Access from the south is by one of three bridges while traffic from the east and west arrives via a number of different highway systems.  Surrounded by water, with a wide variety of architecture from the past and the present, Montréal is a very attractive and fun city.

Day 2: Montréal Tram Tour - This morning join a comprehensive guided tour that will open your eyes to the wonders of this great world city.   With districts as new as yesterday and others enriched with history.  Highlights include the Old Port, Mount Royal Lookout, the Olympic Park, McGill University, Chinatown and the Notre Dame Basilica.

Day 3: Montréal at leisure - Explore Montréal on your own.  Revisit the attractions that interest you the most.  Stroll among the shops of Rue Saint Cathérine, or walk the narrow streets of the old port.  Be sure to sample some of Montréal’s famous foods.

Day 4: Montréal to Québec City Tour - Today you will join a full day guided excursion to Québec City.  The tour will take you back over 400 years to the historic landmark of the French regime in the new world.  You will be charmed by the old world atmosphere of Québec City with its narrow streets, steep hills and numerous historical treasures on the banks of the St Lawrence River.  The tour includes a photo stop at the beautiful Montmorency Falls.

Day 5: Québec City River Cruise - Spend an unforgettable afternoon aboard the MV Louis Jolliet viewing historic Québec City from the St Lawrence River.  The city, the river and history combine to make a memorable tour.

Day 6: Québec City at leisure - Québec City, having just celebrated its 400th anniversary, is truly one of the most beautiful cities in Canada.  Today, you can explore the historic downtown inside the original city wall.  Be sure to take a look at the famous Fairmont Le Château Frontenac with a commanding view over the St Lawrence river.  Rich in Québecois culture, Québec City is known for its European flavour where treasures can be found around every corner.

Day 7: Québec City to Montréal and depart - This morning make your way to Gare du Palais and board VIA Rail’s Corridor Service to Montréal.  Arriving in Montréal before midday, you will have time to transfer to the airport for your afternoon flight.  Montréal is also a convenient place to make connections extending your Eastern Canada adventure.
