You visit the winter residence of the Royal Family and enjoy tranquil islands in the archipelago. Also as part of the tour you will take a 6 day/5 night Norwegian Coastal Voyage. Stepping off the voyage in Bergen, your tour continues to Tallinn, Rovaniemi and Inari. Depart from Kirkenes on Norwegian coastal steamer, Vessel MS Nordnorge.

Ascend the Flam Valley by electric train, a marvel of railway engineering. From Myrdal you take the train to Oslo. Enjoy one of the world’s most scenic rail journeys as you travel through magnificent landscapes of farmland, forests and glacier‐capped mountains to Oslo.

Day trip to Tallinn

The capital of Estonia Tallinn is only a short ferry ride from Helsinki. This combined ferry and bus tour is an excellent way for visitors to get the most of this magical city in a day. You depart by ferry from Helsinki to Tallinn then on arrival in Tallinn you will start your sightseeing seeing tour of the city. This combined bus and walking tour is an excellent way to get to know Tallinn. The first leg of this tour is by bus which will take you though the most interesting parts of the city. You’ll see the baroque park of Kadriorg, Song Festival Grounds and the 600 year old ruins of Pirita. An experienced guide will provide nonstop commentary about Estonian history and contemporary life. Then a walking tour takes you through the winding, cobble stoned streets of the Old Town. During the walking tour, you’ll see the historic city centre Toompea, Palace of Toompea, Aleksander Nevskij Cathedral, Dome Church and many other sights in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Tallinn’s Old Town. The tour ends at Town Hall Square in the Old Town. You will have some time at leisure in Tallinn before making your way to the ferry terminal and heading back to Helsinki.

On the edge of the wild and beautiful Lake Inari sits the small and lively village of Inari. Inari village is home to the Finnish Sámi Parliament, who are based out of Sajos, a striking building which also doubles up as the Sámi cultural centre. For an insight into the history and culture of the Sámi people, the Sámi museum, Siida, is a great place to get started. It doubles up as the visitor centre for the region.

Inari to Kirkenes to Norwegian Coastal Voyage

Travel from Inari to Kirkenes via bus. Depart from Kirkenes on Norwegian coastal steamer – Vessel MS Nordnorge – on what is often called the ‘world’s most beautiful sea voyage’. Start your southbound voyage, revealing ports, after crossing Varangerfjord we arrive in Vardø, the easternmost point of the country. In the evening, we call at Båtsfjord, as well as Berlevåg. Norwegian Coastal Voyage

Start the day with breakfast at the North Cape. After calling at Honningsvåg and Havøysund, we stop in Hammerfest, the world’s northernmost town. We continue south to Øksfjord, where a glacier calves directly into the sea, and after crossing open water, we will stop at the old trading post of Skjervøy. We dock in Tromsø just in time to savour its nightlife.

Shore Excursion: Taste of Vesteralen - on this trip from Harstad to Sortland you will experience history, beautiful scenery and a selection of breathtaking sights. One of the highlights is a visit to the Trondenes church. Shore Excursion: Lofoten Islands - the sheltered bays and glorious mountain landscapes of the Lofoten Islands are home and workplace to generations of fi shermen. In Henningsvaer you visit a gallery which displays a collection of art and photographs that capture the very essence of life in these islands.

For almost one thousand years Bergen has been the destination of travellers from all around the world and is Norway’s second largest city, with over 250.000 inhabitants and is estimated to have been founded in 1070. Located at the west coast of Norway some of the most popular attractions include the Funicular, Aquarium, the Hanseatic Museum and, as the birthplace of the hugely popular composer Edward Grieg, the Edward Grieg Museum which receives thousands of visitors from all over the World.
