Day 8: Kennicott - a day at leisure in the remote wilderness of Wrangell St. Elias National Park.  The spectacular alpine scenery is still being formed by glaciers, and peaks that rise more sharply than the Himalayas can be seen from the lodge.  Possible activities include hikes on alpine trails, guided glacier walks and tours of historic Kennecott Copper Mine.

Day 9: Kennicott to Valdez morning departure from Kennicott.  After collecting your car again in Chitina, travel down the scenic Richardson Highway.  Along the way we will stop at Worthington Glacier before descending beautiful Thompson Pass into Valdez.
