Day 1:
Arrive in Anchorage - pick up your hire car, and drive into the city.

Day 2:
Anchorage to Talkeetna (173 miles) - drive from Anchorage to Talkeetna via Parks Highways. On the way pass through the farmlands of the Matsu Valley and towns such as Wasilla and Palmer. Talkeetna is a favorite destination of many Alaskans. The town has retained its original charm with dirt streets and log cabins.

Day 3:
Talkeetna to Denali (173 miles) - drive from Talkeetna to Denali via the Parks Highway. Sometimes wildlife can be spotted from the highway and on clear days there are spectacular views of Mt McKinley, the tallest mountain in North America.

Day 4:
Denali Wilderness Excursion – join a morning tour into Denali National Park. This tour provides an opportunity to view the scenery which makes this wilderness region so famous. The Preserve is also home to bear, moose, wolves, caribou and Dall Sheep. These bus tours are the only way to venture into the park, the road is restricted to authorized vehicles only.

Day 5:
Denali to Fairbanks (122 miles) - drive the last section of the Parks Highway to Fairbanks.

Day 6:
Fairbanks - a day at leisure to visit attractions such as the museum of the University of Alaska Fairbanks Campus or the Trans Alaska Pipeline Visitor Center.

Day 7:
Fairbanks to Chitina (220miles) & Kennicott - drive to Chitina along the Richardson Highway. The road has been described as a scenic wonder, cutting through the Chugach Mountains with waterfalls, glaciers, five major rivers and Trans-Alaska Pipeline. In Chitna, board light plane for scenic flight to Kennicott Glacier Lodge.

Day 8:
Kennicott - a day at leisure in the remote wilderness of Wrangell St. Elias National Park. The spectacular alpine scenery is still being formed by glaciers, and peaks that rise more sharply than the Himalayas can be seen from the lodge. Possible activities include hikes on alpine trails, guided glacier walks and tours of historic Kennecott Copper Mine.

Day 9:
Kennicott to Valdez – morning departure from Kennicott. After collecting your car again in Chitina, travel down the scenic Richardson Highway. Along the way we will stop at Worthington Glacier before descending beautiful Thompson Pass into Valdez.

Day 10:
Valdez - a day at leisure.

Day 11:
Valdez to Whittier to Seward (90 miles) - board an Alaska Marine Highway System vehicle ferry accross Prince William Sound to Whittier. Drive from Whittier to the town of Seward which is the gateway to Kenai Fjords National Park.

Day 12:
Seward – a day at leisure to explore Seward. You may decide to visit some of these nearby attractions; Alaska Sealife Center, Exit Glacier, Resurrection Bay and Kenai Fjords National Park.

Day 13:
Seward to Anchorage (127 miles) - drive north on the Seward Highway, one of the most scenic highways in North America, back to Anchorage.

Day 14:
Depart Anchorage - drive to the Anchorage airport, return your hire car and depart.
