Stikine River Wilderness Tour

Stikine means Great River in Tlingit and as the fastest free flowing river in North America it holds up to its reputation. The mouth of the river is located near Wrangell and is fed by over 100 glaciers as it stretches all the way to British Columbia. This five hour tour by jet boat takes you along some of the tributaries that connect with the “The Great River”. In addition to viewing the scenery in this beautiful wilderness region, you should also watch for wildlife such as bear, moose and eagles. It’s said that the second largest concentration of eagles visit the Stikine delta in April and in late April snow geese are regularly seen as they migrate northward. The jet boat provides space to sit inside the cabin area or if you like to feel the power of the boat you can sit on the back deck.
