Telegraph Creek (Stikine River Safari) 4 day/3 night

This 4 day/3 night tour takes you 160 miles up the beautiful Stikine River by jet boat. On the first day of the tour you will travel to Glenora Guest Ranch, where you will meet the famous Nancy Ball. The second and third days of the tour will take you to the remote town of Telegraph Creek located in British Columbia.

Day 1:  On your way to Glenora (approximately a seven hour journey), you will have time to view some of the most spectacular scenery in North America. Highlights of this wilderness region include viewing over 100 glaciers and bear, moose and eagles may also be seen during the course of the tour. Tonight the group will spend the night at Glenora Guest Ranch.

Day 2:  After a fantastic breakfast at Nancy’s table, the group may enjoy an optional walk in the mountains above Glenora. The walk provides sensational views of the Lodge and surrounding valley. In the afternoon the group will re-board Jim’s boat and continue up the Stikine River to Telegraph Creek. Tonight and tomorrow, the group will stay at the historical Riversong Lodge.

Day 3:  This morning, the group may enjoy an optional driving tour through the countryside surrounding Telegraph Creek. The tour provides an insight into the history and culture of this fascinating region. Highlights include panoramic views of the spectacular “Grand Canyon of the Stikine River”.  In the afternoon Jim will take the group through the ‘Grand Canyon’ by boat.

Day 4:  The return trip to Wrangell takes approximately six hours. If time permits a detour may be made at Shakes Glacier.
