Victoria & Butchart Gardens Tour

This full day return trip from Vancouver to Victoria, the capital of British Columbia, shows off the highlights of the west coast. Starting with a 90-minute ferry ride through the Gulf Islands and continuing to the privately owned Butchart Gardens.

The garden was first created by Mr Robert Butchart’s wife Jennie. Robert had dug a big quarry near their house and Jennie turned the hole into what’s now known as the Sunken Garden. Other gardens were created around their home, often reflecting their travels. For example, the Japanese Garden. The word spread about their beautiful garden and people came to visit. This now world famous attraction boasts over 50 acres of ever changing themed gardens; a veritable oasis.

The tour continues from the Butchart Gardens with a scenic ocean side drive to Beacon Hill Park and Victoria proper, the Inner Harbour and the Fairmont Empress Hotel. Ample time is available for you to explore this charming town, shops and sights before your return to Vancouver.
